The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Project for Data Sharing in End of Life Care is one of three entries shortlisted in the Software / ICT / Assistive Technology category in this year’s Health Enterprise East (HEE) Innovation Competition.

Electronic record system improvements designed to provide better care for patients approaching the end of their lives have been shortlisted for an innovation award. The project seeks to transform the way information is shared, with patient consent and within current clinical record keeping practices, between care settings for patients approaching the end of life.

Funded by the Health Innovation and Education Cluster, managed by Cambridge University Health Partners, it is strongly supported by clinical leads in End of Life Care at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Local Commissioning Groups (LCGs), Cambridgeshire Community Services, NHS Trust (CCS), the CCG IT team and external experts.

An evaluation of this project is being led by Dr Mila Petrova of the NIHR CLAHRC East of England
