NIHR CLAHRC South London announces grants to support higher degree research students

Funding is now available from the NIHR CLAHRC South London to support current self-funded higher degree research students to complete their work in the field of health research, or implementation science.

There are two sets of award available:

  • CLAHRC fee support awards – eight are available (up to £5,000 each) to help current higher degree research students (eg PhD/MD) with their fees.
  • CLAHRC thesis write-up stipends – eight are available (up to £5,000 each) for current higher degree research students (eg PhD/MD) to allow them time to focus on writing and submitting their thesis

Both sets of awards are open to applicants whose research is relevant to CLAHRC research themes, which includes health research in the areas of alcohol, diabetes, infection, maternity and women’s health, palliative and end of life care, psychosis, public health and stroke, as well as implementation science, and patient and public involvement.

Applicants should be registered for a higher research degree at the CLAHRC academic partners: King’s College London, Kingston University and St George’s, University of London.
