Applications are now open for 2017 Travelling Fellowships funded by the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust

The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust funds fellows to investigate ground-breaking practice in other countries and return with innovative ideas for the benefit of people in the UK. In particular, they support those who would not normally be able to take time away from work to research their ideas, or who would find it difficult to access funding through other channels.

People with strong projects and a passion to make a difference to others are encouraged to apply.  Many applicants work in the public services such as nursing, teaching, social work and probation, or in the community and voluntary sectors, where this kind of opportunity is rare.

Categories for the fellowships include:

  • Medical Practice & Education
  • Nursing & Allied Health Professions
  • Mental Health – Community Based Approaches
  • Science, Technology & Innovation

The fellowships grants cover return and internal travel, daily living and insurance within the countries visited. No qualifications are required.
