Springboard – Health of the Public 2040

Springboard offers a bespoke package of support to researchers, working in the health social sciences and medical humanities, at the start of their first independent post to help launch their research careers. This includes funding of up to £50,000 over two years and access to the Academy’s acclaimed mentoring and career development programme.

To be eligible to apply you must:

  • Hold an established academic research position at your institution.
  • Identify as a researcher working in the health social sciences or medical humanities and your proposed project must align with the environments and themes that have emerged from the Academy’s ‘Improving the health of the public by 2040’ report.
  • Be within 3 years (FTE) of appointment to your first independent salaried position and have sufficient time remaining in this post to complete the proposed project.
