NIHR CLAHRCs and stakeholders together showcasing care homes research, generating ideas and informing the future
This Cross-CLAHRC care homes research event bought together over seventy delegates representing care home owners and managers, CLAHRC researchers, charity representatives, health care professionals and lay groups. It was borne from the identification of ‘Care Homes’ as national theme for CLAHRCs (being led by CLAHRC EoE), and driven by a steering group comprising lead researchers from CLAHRCs undertaking research in the field.
It was designed to showcase the care home focused research of CLAHRCs and demonstrate how the regional and national impact of our work with different partner organisations could inform further
work that is innovative, sustainable and for the long term benefits of residents. It was an action packed day of presentations and discussions, highlighting ongoing work and sharing useful resources.
A report was produced detailing the key activities and outputs from the day; the executive summary for which can be downloaded here.
