Universities UK are seeking a Head of Health Research Networks – an exciting role for someone who believes in the importance of research to transform practice.

The ‘Head of Health Research Networks’ at Universities UK (UUK) will work to help shape and lead a range of activities for two networks: the Health Services Research UK; and the NIHR CLAHRC Partnership Programme.

Both networks bring together the producers and users of applied health research to improve services and benefit patients. They are hosted at UUK (based in London), working alongside the UUK Health Policy programme and reporting to the Assistant Director of Policy [Head of Health].  This is a unique opportunity to interact with stakeholders at all levels across research and health care and to develop these important networks for maximum impact.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, an enthusiasm to use new media and platforms to develop the networks, an effective grasp of project and programme management, and a genuine commitment to health research and health improvement. Experience in senior academic stakeholder management would be a distinct asset.
