Policy Research Programme call for applications
A new NIHR Policy Research Programme (PRP) call is open. The programme invites applications on two topics:
Infectious Disease Dynamic Modelling in Health Protection
The call will address two key areas:
- A stream of dynamical disease and health economic modelling relating to the national vaccination programme. This will provide an alternative or ‘second’ opinion to and run parallel with, that provided by Public Health England (PHE).
- Modelling of other infectious diseases that lie outside the immunisation programme.
Health Inequalities Research Initiative
The NIHR is launching a new call for health inequalities research as part of its Policy Research Programme (PRP). The call will fund research to provide evidence to inform health and social care policy aimed at reducing health inequalities.
Health inequalities are differences in health between different population groups. These inequalities can be the result of social inequalities; for example, differences in living conditions, wealth, income, education, and the ways in which these factors interact.
Submission deadline: 2nd October 2018
