THIS Institute – Applications now open for PhD fellowship
THIS Institute invites applications from UK universities for doctoral fellowships in the area of improvement in healthcare quality and safety.
Funding is available for three or four-year programmes. Successful universities will be responsible for their own recruitment and may appoint clinical or non-clinical fellows. Fellows recruited by universities will be invited to join a supported community of improvement researchers hosted by THIS Institute.
Universities should propose projects that will help to build the evidence base for improving quality and safety in the UK health system. As well as supporting disciplines already active in this area (such as health services research, law, epidemiology, data science and social science), this scheme is also looking for fresh thinking and contributions from fields beyond healthcare.
Potential supervisors are strongly encouraged to contact THIS Institute’s fellowship team before starting an application to confirm if the proposed project is within scope.
