Images of Care and Dying – Final Event

27 April 2017

Cambridge

You are warmly invited to attend the final event of the successful and innovative series Images of Care and Dying

The conference, convened by the CLAHRC’s Dr Stephen Barclay and colleagues, will feature Professor Jane Maher (Chief Medical Officer, Macmillan Cancer Support), Professor Bill Noble (Medical Director, Marie Curie), and Emma Wilson (Professor of French Literature and the Visual Arts, University of Cambridge).  Refreshments will be provided and the talks will be followed by discussion with the audience. The event will explore issues around end of life care through the lens of film, bringing together policy and academia. In particular, the event will consider the future direction of palliative and end of life care in a changing society with constrained resources in health and social care.

This conference is part of the Images of Care and Dying seminar series hosted by CRASSH, along with the University of Cambridge’s Departments of Public Health and Primary Care, Modern and Medieval Languages, and the Cambridge Institute of Public Health’s Public Health: Research into Policy project. Email lm462@medschl.cam.ac.uk with any questions.

 27 April, 2017 – 15:00-19:00, Seminar rooms SG1 & SG2, Alison Richard Building, Cambridge
