Public Health Master Class
8 February 2017
University of Hertfordshire
Public and patient involvement in research and education has the potential to improve the health and wellbeing of the nation through involvement in the training of health and social care professionals and the implementation of relevant and high quality research.
There is growing evidence that:
- The active involvement in the research process by people who use health and social care services can enhance the quality and impact of research findings.
- Collaborative working between patients/service users/carers and educationalists in activities such as the recruitment of new students, curriculum development, classroom teaching and assessment can enhance the knowledge, skills and attributes of health and social care students.
