Research for Patient Benefit Programme (RfPB): an information event

This event is aimed at health researchers and will offer an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the renewed NIHR RfPB programme. It will provide information about the changes to the programme and the types of proposals that NIHR are keen to encourage.
Colleagues who are involved in costing research proposals are also welcome to attend the event. The event will include discussion about costing within the new RfPB application process.
Registration to this event is FREE and refreshments will be provided.
Speakers include: Ben Morgan, Interim Assistant Director, RfPB at the NIHR Central Commissioning Facility (CCF), and Dr Stephen Barclay, Chair of the East of England RfPB committee.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions and at coffee/lunch there will be the opportunity to network with presenters, other NIHR colleagues, past/present RfPB Committee members, RDS advisers and other delegates.
A series of pre-booked 1:1 sessions will also be taking place from 1pm for investigators to discuss specific research ideas with the speakers / NIHR RfPB Programme Manager. RDS advisers from the East of England region will also be available to discuss general research ideas and/or more specialist input e.g. qualitative input, health economics, statistics, public involvement, etc.
