CLAHRC East of England has at its core, an academic partnership between the Universities of Cambridge (UoC), East Anglia (UEA) and Hertfordshire (UoH), harnessing the research power of the 3 universities.

Our overarching ambition is to undertake world-class applied health research using NIHR funds as a multiplier to develop top quality proposals that can be funded through other sources to answer questions relevant to our partners, thus providing evidence that has regional as well as national and international impact.

Our research focuses on the needs of people with complex problems, often vulnerable when multiple agencies are involved in their care: young people, frail older people, those with dementia, learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries or mental ill health.
